How to go about killing god?

Give me your idea's on accomplishing this impossible task.

I've been considering writing a book about a keyboardist who manages to fall in love with an angel, a refugee from Heaven (my intention is that it be a cross between His Dark Materials and Scott Pilgrim), with Jehovah and his forces being the bad guys, but I doubt it will be written due to a major problem: I can only imagine the book ending with the lead character killing Jehovah, and I cannot even begin to figure out how this can even work. The only precedent I can think of in fiction of a fully-powered God being killed (the elderly Authority's natural death in HDM not counting) is in the last issue of Preacher, where the Saint of Killers lives up to his name, and kills God and all that is holy.
