How would you respond to a person killing someone else because God told him to?

How would you respond to a person killing someone else because God told him to?
I'll give an example. What if a person prayed to God because he/she wanted to ask what he/she should do or should be doing or whatever. And then he "orders" him/her to kill his/her family members, and he/she actually does do it. Now, how would you feel if that were you doing such a thing? (Answer not from the examples below) And as the general public, how would you feel about it if it's broadcasted in the news or in a way where you heard about it? Would you say,

A. "Oh, a direct order from God, that guy/girl must be lucky to have been ordered by the Heavenly Father."
B. "Hmm, how sad, but God knows what's best so I guess it's OK."
C. "What a freak! What kind of a God was he/she listening to? His faith is weak!"
D. "He/she needs to get that Schizophrenia treated."
E. "He/she needs to be in a mental hospital"
F. "*blank stare*"
G. (Other answer)

Not just an incident like that, but an incident involving the loss of a life, how would you respond?

EDIT: I couldn't even understand what I myself was asking, so I re-worded it a bit.

Superstarr -

In my belief system, that would never happen. I don't believe that god works in that way. Your question is confusing because I'm not sure if you're asking what I'd say or think after doing it, or what others would think. I can't speak for others and what they'd say in reaction to me doing such a thing, but speaking for myself, as the one having done it, I'd feel terrible and immediately review my ideas on what god is and does (assuming I did it, which I never would). I'd never do it even if I felt that god was telling me to do it, but if I did I guess I'd feel terrible. If someone else did it or felt that they had to, I'd hope that they seek help, and get a grip and realise that god doesn't work that way. This type of question is of course hevily based on the bible, it doesn't reflect how theists think.

IF I worshipped a petty, jealous, capricious, vindictive and cruel arsehole like YHWH,I'd be fucking terrified of him.

I would do anything the cunt even hinted he might like me to do. I would not give a flying fuck what anyone else thought,or might do to me.Worship (large)

I would tell that person "Damnit! I didn't mean kill that one, I meant that one!", pointing to someone I extremely dislike.

This is what a person who believes in an underlying reality of there religion would do. If they do not behave in such a way, then they do not possess a true belief in their religion.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

Sorry, I myself was confused of my own questions. Lol. I re-worded it

And well, not every Christian believes those things, but I bet somewhere somebody would do it if they got an "answer" from God or they think they got the answer from him. Some people just interpret their religion a little differently than others I guess. Thinking

I agree with Godhead the God of the Bible would not do that. I know that He asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac and that Abraham was willing however God stopped Abraham and supplied a ram for the sacrifice. God has also asked the Israel armies in ancient times to destroy entire cities and all that inhabit them but all this was of a different time and for specific reasons. Times and circumstances have changed God has moved the world into the christian age.

If someone were to do that then they should be tried for murder because that is not what God would ask of a christian, and they should not be allowed to use God as an insanity plea, blaming such a thing as that on God is the same as putting God on trial. Those type of people are what cause others to not trust christains and that is sad because the greater majority of christians are descent people.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Oh, too bad G-C. Here's one of your god's many mass murders!

Quote:So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee
1Ch 21:12 Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh [thee]; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.
1Ch 21:13 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great [are] his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.
1Ch 21:14 ¶ So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.

The punishment, btw, for fucking up taking a census!

Quote:I know that He asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac and that Abraham was willing however God stopped Abraham and supplied a ram for the sacrifice.

Which makes your god a real prick.

Talk about a fucking cop out answer. It's you clowns who insist that all your gods are rolled into ONE.
Murder is murder and these ancient goatherders concocted a murderous old fuck of a god. You cannot escape your heritage by claiming that times have "changed."

I'd go with E - the mental hospital option.
