The Crusades was a just holy war in defense against the Muslim invasion of the christian territory, Islam was being spread by the sword across the middle east and across north Africa and north east Asia and attempts of invasion of Europe, read history.

Ostensibly, it was conducted to aid Byzantium against Muslim aggression but soon morphed into a push to re-conquer Jerusalem. The Western church's desire to extend its influence into regions previously beholden to the Eastern Church was also an important factor.

For anyone to pretend that the marauding hordes attached to the first Crusade were anything like pious, disciplined soldiers is laughable. The butchery they visited on civilian populations throughout their journey was horrific. But let's leave aside the Muslims for a moment. Was the extortion, terror, and murder they performed on European Jews during that Crusade also moral? I'm curious to know just how much a cretin you really are.
