How would you feel then? Also seeing as crime has dropped 30% in the Phillipeans, I think it's possible that you should be less worried about your dad. I'm not one to defend the crop of proto-facists who are cropping up over the world, they are very far from my worldview. However to say there aren't two sides to this story translates as: I'm too lazy to look into the other side.
Besides, Obama and every US president for the last 50 years has been responsible for far more global murder and mayhem then Duterte could dream of.
I'll set aside your straw men and say that perhaps you need to look beyond a few sound bites about Duterte. Do you have any idea how corrupt the government and authorities are in the Philippines? Do you not believe in due process, even for the impoverished? I'm guessing not. If that's the case, it's a short step to the police and The Man (government) playing judge, jury and executioner all rolled into one in the dead of night.
Duterte is my personal obsession right now, I read as much as I can about him from multiple perspectives and have listened to just about every long interview that's in english or has been translated, so you can do us both a favor and not use the 'I know so much more then you, and if you only knew what I did then you'd agree with me card' It's a bunch of shit. I don't support him, which I explicitly said and you ignored. All I said is that there is multiple sides to his story.
Screaming that there is only one point of view is saying that it's better to be close minded then consider different sides of the argument. Why is it that this type of argument, which is itself a logical fallacy always starts with someone saying something like 'strawman' even though:
A. It's not.
B. You misrepresented my points of view
