Like I said if that were the meaning of the passage the Pro-Choice movement would have been using them many years ago. Why? It's not as if the woman has a choice in the narrative described.
Quote:Just because a woman was unfaithful to her husband doesn't mean she became pregnant so why use something to cause an abortion, if they did and it happened the aborted child could have been the husbands son.Interesting questions..but you'd have to ask the writer of the narrative, who explicitly claims that this ritual will cause a miscarriage.
Quote:Joseph didn't do this with Mary when he believed she had been unfaithful. That law was still in effect for the Jewish people at that time. Your idea on this passage is wrong on so many accounts it's pathetic.Jospeh was okay with being cuckolded, obviously, the men who sought out ritual abortions as a test of fidelity were not. That;s kindof what sets Jospeh apart as a good guy, in the narrative.,..he doesn't do terrible things to Mary as a result of her having a little side penis.
Quote:You've never gone back and read the passage as I requested and I still say it's because you're afraid of the truth, so I will go this far with the verses. When did dirt from a dirt floor ever become an agent in abortion, is there a precedent for this?It became an agent in abortion in the narrative in question....as I said, I'm not as credulous as you, I don;t think they shared the recipe for their abortifacient, lol. Why would they, they were collecting revenue on it..oh, oh, excuse me..."offerings".
Quote:27 If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse. 28 If, however, the woman has not made herself impure, but is clean, she will be cleared of guilt and will be able to have children.https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?se...ersion=NIV
What did gods word get wrong here, GC? What's it really about, since it's not about what it says it's about? Is it "not abortion" when the kid is someone elses? Well, hallelujah...the kid being someone else's is probably a driving factor in more than a few abortions. You ready to greenlight that, like god did? Or would you prefer to continue with this absurd tap dancing?
