Bias does not mean fake. I agree it is an issue, but to tcall a story that tells actual facts from a slant you disagree with fake is going to cause a serious problem with actual fake news.

Fake news is news that is entirely manufactured, lies that have zero basis in reality, not just some slant left of right. Lies that possibly got this man elected, though we'll never know. The fact he has coopted the word FAKE and is trying to make it synonymous with BIAS or DISAGREEMENT is bad for all people, left, right and center. This isn't liberal tears, no matter how much you try and paint it that way. This is people of all stripes (check out the right leaning news like FOX, and Republican senetors fight it, as well) coming to gether to fight an actual threat from the inside.
The common people who are letting this happen are complicit in what they accuse "the left" of all the time. This could actually, for real and permanent, destroy our democracy. It might not, but it has the potential to.
Unlike words like racist or bias (which both still allow the news to be news), by allowing actual news to be painted as fake, while accepting full lies with a dismissing wave of your hand as unimportant, you are helping destroy one of the actual legs of democracy. ~golf clap
