Are you totally dense or something? 6 million is the number after revision not before. Its not 6 million subtract anything, it is (whatever the original number was) subtract (whatever the revisions were) = 6 million. It really isn't difficult to understand.

Depends when you are talking. The number has revised over time to take into account more accurate estimates, addition information etc, and remove anomalous data such as the original Auschwitz figure, as I understand it the 6 million has stood since the 1980's.

But really, it's pretty irrelevant what the figure was, you're better off concentrating on how the current figure is made up. Try for a start
