"Pan political", like Peter Pan, you mean?   Means nothing to me.

It means I have no allegiance to any particular place or category on the political spectrum. I'm a true pragmatist in that sense; I support the 'most beneficial' political position for a given scenario. I'm prepared to be convinced of positions based on the proposed outcome and the associated weight of evidence. Consequently, I often find myself allied with those on the left or centre-left and rarely with anyone on the right.

One is either a communist or a capitalist, and those are the only 2 options. You are either dog eat dog or dog help dog.

Oh, if only politics were so black & white. Your position may give you problems at the negotiating table. I, for example, am neither: I recognise the benefits of the existence of capital but that free trade is harmful; I recognise that state control over many social functions is beneficial but that control over all is harmful. These are demonstrably so, based on previous and current versions of those ideologies. If someone were to come up with different versions, I'd reexamine and adjust my position according to the evidence.

I don't have a strict political ideology other than 'do what's best' but if I did, it would be close to Rodenberrian.

I don't use the term "socialist" much anymore, though if one knows the actual Marxian meaning, I'm ok with it.  It's easier for me to just say "communist", it's more clear and committal and people know where you stand.  It's like atheist v agnostic.  I am an atheist communist.

I use the term 'socialist' properly, in its Marxian sense. But I'm confused, are you actually a communist or do you just use the label for clarity? I understand the differences between the two positions.

BTW, atheism and agnosticism aren't mutually exclusive.

I wrote a couple of fab books worth on the subject on the last atheist/capitalist site I recently got banned from(foreVAR, I might add)--I mean I've never had so much systematic and vehement attack aimed at me, the only commie, in my life, from allegedly "thoughtful", "open minded", "nice" people.  You DO NOT go after their poopy capitalism, nossir, but I am committed to truth(s), justice, and fairness and I will BRING IT, when I choose to.  I'm too old not to, at this point, gotta have a legacy, for the next generations and be on the right side of the fence, history.  I am already feeling the pending attacks @ me here for just saying that little bit.

I'm surprised, especially amongst thinking people. I'd like to think that would be different here. You will be challenged though!
