You are a victim of a disinformation campaign and psychological warfare. After Hillary Clinton lost and the left woke up, they started calling it fake news. Been going on for centuries but it's funny to watch the lefty pro central government planners supporters wake up finally or still fail to see the propaganda. It's very easy to spot those who repeat talking points as they are generally the ones who think they are smart for reporting the news lol. The hard part is breaking through their conditioning because they are the ones in a trance and on the mental plantation of the controlled narrative of the establishment. The ironic part is that it tends to be leftists who are on the plantation of the corporate culture while conservatives have actually become the counter culture.
