What happens if the one party system does fall into place? What if it ends up being the Republican party, thereby dissolving the Democratic party to the point where there is no hope of it being returned in the foreseeable future?
Is such an event possible? I am not politically minded enough to know for certain, but I am smart enough to understand that such a future is scary for at least half of the country.
In such an event, will the Republicans take away your freedoms? Are you going to allow yourself to get stuck in such a country or will you have left before it was too late?

It seems that Republican politicians today don't have to know anything, be they Senators, congressmen, or presidential candidates. Like they don't need to even know what are the three branches of government. All they need to know are a few words: liberal, socialism, far-left, communism, and yell them as loud as they can.

Of COURSE Republicans would take away your freedoms. This has been part and parcel of conservative ideology forever.
For all their blathering about freedom and liberty, they can't wait to take away limit your freedoms about where to work, who to love, how to live. It's what they do.

Nothing would change.
Except there would be less political advertising meant to reinforce the public's illusion that they have a choice in the matter....
