Islam and first cousin marriages

I don't know how this is related to Islam; it's cultural in the core and a matter of personal preference.

Islam allowed, but didn't encourage it; rather encouraged interracial relationships:

Sura 49, Page 517, The Quran:
( 13 )   O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.

Does that actually mean to marry outside the nuclear family? Or is the "know one another" used here, as in the xtian buybull? See, I can interpret that phrase as incest. And I'll bet you nickels to holes in doughnuts that "interracial" isn't included in the meaning of that verse, either. Bring home an infidel from Asia, and see what happens. As if.
