Islam allowed, but didn't encourage it; rather encouraged interracial relationships:
Sura 49, Page 517, The Quran:
( 13 ) O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.
Atlas, between you and MK you try to argue without the romance, but even without that what you fail to see, and even NEO and Steve and any Jew and Buddhist and Hindu, is quite simple. That was then, this is now.
Everyone quotes their holy writings. Everyone quotes their heros. Everyone quotes their histories. Everyone tries to debunk science and when they cant do that tries to retrofit science to point to their club.
Sura....verse yada
John/Mark/Luke verse yada
Buddha said yada
Torah Talmud yada
Baghavad Gita/Vedas yada
In my 16 years of online debate I have yet to see one follower of any religion make a unique argument. Sure the details are different but the argument always boils down to "I got it right and everybody else is wrong".
I am the outsider looking at all of them saying, "Hey guys, maybe your claims are way past their sell by date?"
Romance has its place; it fails and vanishes when you see a Thai man hanging his little daughter and broadcast it on a Facebook livestream.
The cries of the little one just blow romance out of the window. Religion must have answers for such things.
Quote:Sura 81, Page 586, The Quran:
( 1 ) When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]
( 2 ) And when the stars fall, dispersing,
( 3 ) And when the mountains are removed
( 4 ) And when full-term she-camels are neglected
( 5 ) And when the wild beasts are gathered
( 6 ) And when the seas are filled with flame
( 7 ) And when the souls are paired
( 8 ) And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked
( 9 ) For what sin she was killed

The video was haunting beyond limits.
Nothing made me rest Brian, but remembering this Sura.
Ancient Arabs used to berry their newborns if they were females. They used to get ashamed from women.
Nothing makes me rest but knowing that there's a judgment day, where these fathers would get brought back alive and rot in hell for what they did.
You didn't hear the cries. I did.
Romance just gets a thumb down in this situation, what other constitution would assure me that men like this one would get asked for what they did; never cheating with a quick death?
What does the verse before it mean anyways? souls get paird? were we 1 soul? XY and YY stuff?
Things like this make me believe.
I think the Quran gives things to wonder.
