I didn't say he was wrong, I said I can't stand him.

I got that.
What is it about him that bothers you?

1. I can't bear a comic who laughs at his own jokes. It displays an insecurity I find off-putting.

2. Maher thinks he's smarter than he is.

3. Tangential to #2, he thinks that people who disagree with him - about anything - are idiots.

4. His incessant name-calling does nothing to further any kind of sensible discourse.

5. Deep in his heart, he wants to be Jon Stewart, and he knows he isn't up to the task.
