As a former sheriff's deputy, I can't say that I am impressed with how most gun nuts choose to interpret the 2nd Amendment, but they seem to be less a problem than nuts with guns.
I always find interesting how law enforcement officers, former or present day, bandy about the term gun "nuts". As if those who own guns are somehow mentally unsound or should be considered a risk simply because they are armed.

Meanwhile nuts with guns often enough wear a badge, have grand arsenals at their disposal and are members of the largest armed gang in the United States second only to the United States Military.

We can certainly have a discussion about the right to bear arms. However, even your link provides the evidence, there is no debate. We the people have the right to own guns so as to insure domestic tranquility and defend this nation against all enemies foreign and domestic. And goodness knows there are enough citizens buried due to death by out of control armed gun nut cops, to demonstrate exactly what defines that imperative.

"In life you can never be too kind or too fair; everyone you meet is carrying a heavy load. When you go through your day expressing kindness and courtesy to all you meet, you leave behind a feeling of warmth and good cheer, and you help alleviate the burdens everyone is struggling with."
