Yeah, I do find that he's rather depressing, the way he puts down mankind, but I feel that half of what he says are true, come to think of it (putting aside the boring, repetitive bits of course). I think humanity really needs to get a grip on itself. True, religion can be a great moral guideline at times, but at others it really holds people back. People really need to NOT let religion control their lives, their time, thoughts and everything, completely and permanently (which does breed contempt, as Nietzsche has said more than a dozen times), and in turn forsake human advancement.
Where I'm from, I'd probably get jailed if I said that, but oh! the wonders of the Interwebz. xD
