I reject the premise that even the faithful are, at this point, fooled by the act if they ever were (and I doubt that just as strongly). They just don't like dems...they really, really don't like dems. It's not as if, had a dem run on trumps platform but been a legitimately decent person (a contradiction in terms but we're talking about a group that holds many contradictory views..so?)...that they'd have voted for that dem instead. It's not as if, had a dem run on a -better- platform, even by their standards....that they'd have voted for a dem. Partisanship has turned a vast swathe of the electorate into the proverbial dog on a leash.
Of course they know he's ethically, morally, and spiritually bankrupt, but god works in mysterious ways. I have been told that He can be used by god. Gorsuch is in for life now. Now precious babies in tummies will not be murdered at the rate the pro-choice would like. These are 2 important issues to christians. More important than trumps lack of everything human and decent.
I was a born-again christian for many years then I got woke.. and now life is better in so many ways. It's taking me time to see my value and find my voice, but the reward is liberating knowing my path is not dictated or controlled by fear of death and the unknown. Casting off the shackles of religion is pretty fucking awesome. The beautiful people I've met on this forum have more heart and compassion than any group of people I've been apart of. So back off Jesus and followers, because this bitch is done with Chu.
