That's what I was trying to say in way tooooooo many words. Thank you for simplifying.
I agree, but it's a bit more complicated than that. The US for the last several years had been supporting the insurgent groups fighting against Syria. ISIS was used as our proxy army. It's what they call full spectrum dominance. It's one of the dirty secrets of the Obama presidency, along with Clinton being secretary of state at the time. I'm completly against siding with ISIS, or funding them when it's to the advantage, but that has been going on. It's like of like how the US created Osama Bin Laden when he was used to fight the Soviets in Afganistan. He was still an intel asset, and was used by the military to start a new war. That's how they do this. They fund both sides of the conflict to keep the theatre going, and then tell the public half the truth.
