Very much so. Sweden's non-religious population stands at around 85% and growing. Sweden happens to be among the most advanced and peaceful nations in the world. Low crimes rates, 200 years of peace, one of the very best for when it comes to education.
I'd wager that secular countries tend to be far more advanced because of the mindset of it's people. More scientific and rational minds leads to great technology and knowledge. Religion, does the opposite.
The more religious nations tend to be the complete opposite to being peaceful or advanced or educated.
Secularism has delivered far better results than any religion....by far!

I'd like to move to Sweden at some point.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
