Nobody should be doing it.
Look, in any form of political pluralism, there is going to be a slight advantage to someone, that is what long term compromise looks like. But if we don't want the pendulum swinging as far to the right as it has, then we too should not be advocating lopsidedness on our part either.
Even in evolution in any given ecosystem some inequity exists. But if one part of that ecosystem gets too big it upsets the entire ecosystem. Politics is no different.
