If I wrote a paper in my professional capacity on why beans are bad for you, would you:

1.  Accept my findings?
2.  Stop eating beans?
3.  Donate to my cause of stopping the world from eating beans due to the effects farts have, not only on the human body, but on the environment?

Nope. I'll still eat limas. They are delicious. And I especially love Fordhook limas.
