This seems as though it was yet another prime opportunity for god to show his love for a man trying to get his work out there..and hey, while he was at it, maybe clear up some disagreements they had about that good word and his good nature...that led to, you know, burning people.

Here's an idea-why not get everyone who thinks that was such a nifty thing to show their devotion in the same way and free up some prime real estate for those of us have functioning cognitive faculties?
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
