That's an interesting point of view, but not at all what is being referred to when the term is employed.
What I find amusing, is that the description of cultural appropriation doesn't contain within it any commitment to shame. That's all that people seem to worry is being said, though. How many units of white guilt, how many acres, how many mules. What about royalty checks? Is it still cultural appropriation when blacks or natives do it?
All of these things, some other thing.
