See? I can play this game too.
Alright, but I made points that are not connected with the Washington Times, Washington Post, Snopes, or the crime statistic that I mentioned. When are you going to address that? That was the heart of my response.
Also, did you actually read the study or did you just take Snopes' word for it? Here's what the study said, "When either the violent crime rate or the demographics of a city are accounted for, we find that white police officers are not significantly more likely to kill a black suspect. For the estimates where we know the race of the officer who killed the suspect, the ratio of the rate that blacks are killed by black versus white officers is large — ranging from 3 to 5 times larger." https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?...id=2870189
So, now do you understand why Snopes is garbage?
Your point about black people committing more crime may be valid, however you didn't cite any sources so what's the point of discussing pure speculation on your part when you don't back it up. I would say that if black people are committing more crimes there must be a societal reason, which likely stems from the historic oppression of their race and racist attitudes that still exist today. (that's speculation on my part)
That the killings may be justified ignores the larger issue which is why do many people in general are killed by police in this country. This doesn't just apply to black people but is a problem due in part to police training.
Did you read the snopes article at all? It cites additional studies which disagree with the findings of the CPRC study, or at the very least say the findings are skewed for various reasons. If anything, the multiple studies in this area show that there isn't a conclusive answer to this question.
