If the money the world spent in a decade was spent on medicine and science, we would likely have had a permanent presence on Mars by now and be exploring the outer solar system.
Good points. How can humanity fully unleash their potential when a good amount of their resources are used on destruction, fear, and hostility? As a dreamer and idealist, I can only imagine the type of future humanity could craft if they would contribute more of their resources to the areas that you suggested along with life in general. Hence, regarding the op, IMO, if humanity would collectively embrace itself more (I'm not implying utopia), than our future may indeed be an adventure of growth, discovery, increased cooperation, and an appreciation for our differences.
