Oh, right, upon seeing that creepy face in the storm drain, I remembered this episode.

A polygraph is used, which we never see in crime shows anymore.
One part of this episode makes no sense, the part involving Dana's necklace being removed. As a regular wearer of a necklace, as is Dana, I would notice if it was missing. Dana never noticed it missing. And it was not her religious cross necklace, which she always wears, which makes it that part of the episode even weirder.
At the end, they handcuffed him. Couldn't he have just squeezed his hand out of the handcuff?
Also at the end, it's clear he will be able to escape through the food slot in the door.
