I'm still using dropbox for most things. They've disabled the hotlinking interface, but you can get around that with a url hack (below). Other than that, there's a 10 GB/ month traffic limit, so I use it sparingly. The nice thing about dropbox is that it's an https server, so you can hotlink animated gifs and they display properly.

To hotlink files from dropbox, create a link and copy it. That results in a url like the following:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tfphtxu0ypkfwfd/constantine.jpg?dl=0
Remove the garbage at the end and change www.dropbox to dl.dropboxusercontent, resulting in the following:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/tfphtxu0ypkfwfd/constantine.jpg
