I've watched a couple of the "higher quality" anime movies and still generally find it to be inferior to cartoons.
To me, bad artwork can ruin the most exceptional stories.
What is your favorite cartoon??
Astonished Wrote:Dude, I came to really hate Bleach (manga, not anime; though I know they don't generally differ much except for filler) once they went to Soul Society
Man, that sucks ! I just watched 2 episodes of bleach and it was you know, not bad, but if that's what's waiting for me in the future I think I'll pass

Didn't quite mesh well with the jive of that show really but everyone seems to think highly of it. Have heard of the others but never tried it. This thread is precious to me because so many animes are suggested here
I actually came here to ask another question :
Do yall prefer subbed or dubbed version?
I actually started seeing only dubbed but eventually (had to) switched to subbed but I got so used to it and the whole Japanese swag in their Lang that I now prefer only subbed even if there is dubbed available.
It depends. Has the dub been butchered? If yes, then I'll watch sub. Does the dub stay faithful to the original? If so, then I'll just take the dub. It's easier. I get to see what's going on and know what's being said at the same time, instead of read and quickly move my eyes back to the middle of the screen to see what's going on.
Also, if you're into Metal, you should check out the two animes Detroit Metal City and Black Heaven. The first one is a comedy about a guy that wants to make pop music but is forced into making what they call Death Metal (is actually Nu-Metal) and the second one is almost like the fantasy of a middle aged guy that longs for the days of playing in his band, and uses his guitar to fight aliens. They're both pretty fun.
I like a bit more serious type of anime... You know but also fun. Not too serious but also fun.. Like Naruto..i love the story.. The whole flashbacks of the senju and Uchiha clan.. The whole Naruto getting his name from jirayas book. The abundance of characters.. Different countries different villages . I remember when I started watching Naruto I was so fascinated with its story I went to Wikipedia page and read everything
