Of course, that's the crux of the story -- it's what elevates the book. If they got that in the film, I'll probably like it.
What I didn't like about the trailers was how Pennywise was given the Modern Horror Movie Treatment -- very fangy and monstery -- whereas in the book there was a strong undercurrent of sick humor to ole Bob that I liked. I know that sort of thing doesn't transfer well to trailers, but the story's strong enough that I'll keep my wait-and-see outlook and hope for the best.
