I don't think so, personally. I believe in doing our part to help the environment, but I don't think that should extend to married couples refraining from having children if they want them.
Remember that the earth is a finite resource.
Every child we have, every breath we take, the net sum total of energy needed to keep us alive will destroy us all very soon at this exponential rate of growth.
And there ain't no skydaddy coming to save anybody ...that's guaranteed. Everybody needs to make compromises, even the deluded who think their divine right overrules others rights to life.
Sorry, but i dont think married couples who want children have a moral obligation to refrain from having them for the sake of the environment. On that, we will just have to disagree. But like i said, I believe in responsible family planning and in only having sex if you are married. If everyone followed that, I imagine there would be less people in the world anyway.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
