My question is : Are atheists able to use the bible for moral standards?
It is just a question , I don't want to be disrespectfull.
Welcome. You might want to post in the Introductions thread and tell us about yourself.
Obviously, atheists don't look to the Bible as a divinely sanctioned and authoritative source for moral instruction. But there is nothing preventing atheists taking inspiration from its pages and pursuing justice for the downtrodden, extending mercy and forgiveness, or trying to live according to the "Golden Rule". There is nothing inherently theistic about that, and many atheists were first introduced to such ideas through Bible stories.
In my case, there are several episodes in the Bible that have informed my moral outlook.
