Let us do an experiment Jack.  

I got two swimming pools and both have a 5 meter diving board but with a difference.
One pool is full of water while the other is empty (full of air).
All you have to do is jump down from both pools and see whether there is any difference or not.
We got water in one and air in the other so both are compound as you say.
Are you ready to jump in both pools Jack?
There shouldn't be any difference because as you say air and water are both compound, isn't it Jack?

I don't think there shouldn't be any problem by jumping in the empty pool.
In case you smash your skull   in the empty pool LR will be there to put what is left of your brain back inside the skull.

I propose an alternative experiment.  We take the same set up - two diving boards and two pools, one pool filled with water, one pool filled with air.  I dive into the water pool, Rik dives into the air pool.  On the way down, I belt out a chorus of Minchin's 'Ten Foot Cock And A Few Hundred Virgins', while Rik prays as hard as he possibly can that Jesus will keep him from being smashed to jelly when he lands in the air-filled pool.

I am willing to conduct this experiment any time, any place, and I promise to abide by the results.
