Ignosticism and apatheism are the best reasons I can site for why I don't take belief in things supernatural seriously.  Nonetheless I'm also happy to cop to being an agnostic atheist.  You?

I stand surprised that ignosticism is such a little known idea, given how necessary it is.  That fact alone is a strong hint of how abused the idea of deity tends to be.

Apatheism just plain makes sense.

And sure, agnostic atheist is what I am.  Although in recent years the agnosticism has become almost a formality with no practical significance.

Yeah it (my bolded) is at that.  It is like acknowledging that I respect other people's right to take a different perspective regarding hypothetical but unverifiable claims.  What have I got to say on the subject which should sway a believer?  Nothing that doesn't depend on shared perspective and values which we most likely do not share.
