Yeah were atheists the universe came out through natural means. Looking at the universe things pop into existence virtual particles do that all time.
In a sense, you can get something from nothing. And it's also not ridiculous rather believing in a higher being without any formal evidence is more ridiculous.
But hey if faith in diety makes you happy who am I to say anything I would rather you be happy but don't expect others to believe what you believe in. Everyone's idea of a deity or god-like being(s) from person to person is not the same rather everyone(s) or most people(s) idea of a god all have a common feature(s) and difference(s). 

As for evolution you don't need a god, in fact, we as human beings have leftover vestigial organs that serve no function and hell some of us are born with tails actual functioning tails and it's  rare but it happens. I don't want to argue over this google is your best friend and medication. Evolution plays a huge part in medication hell even the process of genetically modifying the human genome like it or not is going to happen we can get rid of many different negative traits in our dna doing so.
