None of that says earth is a sphere, much less directly says.

How not to say earth is a sphere:

ut, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? So it is they who will overcome?

If I took that quote and asked people what it said, zero would come to the conclusion that it says the earth is round.

Why doesn't the Qur'an just say that?

You are telling me that Allah will directly and plainly tell you how to properly beat your wife or the rules for when it's okay to fuck your sex slaves, but does this stupid round about dance to tell you the earth is round? Just say the earth is round.
