Is anyone familliar with the Ferrite cores?
Recently I discovered my new subwoofer + speakers system isn't shielded from the cellphone's buzzing, so I Googled for possible solutions and found an article saying I should buy something called "Ferrite core" and place it on the input cable. They also say it can be harvested from old USB cables. Well, I don't have such USB cables but I remember seeing such cables and all of their Ferrite cores were encapsulated along with the cable. So the question is: should I strip the cable in order to attach the Ferrite core to it? If "yes", I'll have to look for another way.
There's one who I could ask but since we're both in quarrel with Facebook's fascism, I can't get in touch with him.
