So the whole class is spent learning about all the arguments for God. And usually im asked how would you respond to this??? And no matter what i say we get back to "faith." I doubt if it will be that bad next time. We're learning about why God is holy and justified in sending people to hell. This should go alot worse. (=
Apologetics. That's going to be tough, hopefully the teacher won't continue to pick on you because you have a different view. That kind of teaching is...terrible.
Unavoidable in some cases - a few teachers picked on me in public school because I was one of three Jews in the entire school most times. Not because I expressed different view points, but because I committed the sin of having holidays fall on "non American" days. (As in, if I'm American, I would stop celebrating Chanuka or Rosh Hashanah, because being out of school for any holiday that didn't correspond to their schedule just made extra stress for them.)
They don't like people who buck trends - that goes for non-religious things too.Try telling your history teacher that she's wrong one day.
I had a few fantastic teachers who LOVED discussion and different view points. I also had some spectacularly bad teachers who wanted you to conform not because discipline was necessary to learn the topic, but because they didn't want to do any extra work. They will pick and niggle and make life exhausting for you in those classes.
I agree with Tack - you should try to go to a public school or something instead. Cheaper, and honestly you might just get a better education since you won't be wasting your brain space with things that absolutely don't interest you.
