Their bible, and their interpretation, is as likely to be as different from yours as yours is from the earliest christians. Se....they just thought that these were true stories...and it doesn't take a god to tell true stories.
In all likelihood, future "christians" will consider them useful fictions that hint at a greater truth..like any other myth. It's already headed that way.
