This is so true. I am glad that someone has brought up this subject because it is one close to my heart. Due to humans encroaching upon the natural habitat of the mattresses, they have been forced to scavenge in towns looking for food. This is why you can often see them hanging around communal trash bins. Unfortunately this is very dangerous for them as doing so risks being collected and dumped in landfill. To raise money for mattress conservation, you can now buy a calendar featuring beautiful yet heartbreaking images of their struggle for survival.
