This matter can be concluded with these lines from the wikipedia article; in my opinion:
Quote:ccording to Sunni scriptural Hadith sources, Aisha was six or seven years old when she was married to Muhammad with the marriage not being consummated until she had reached puberty at the age of nine or ten years old.
....
Some traditional sources disagree. Ibn Hisham wrote in his biography of Muhammad that she may have been ten years old at the consummation.[11] Ibn Khallikan, as well as Ibn Sa'd al-Baghdadi citing Hisham ibn Urwah, record that she was nine years old at marriage, and twelve at consummation.[26]
....
Muslim authors who calculate Aisha's age based on the more detailed information available about her sister Asma estimate that she was over thirteen and perhaps between seventeen and nineteen at the time of her marriage.[28]
?
Why do criticizers of Islam, cherry-pick a single opinion that Aisha was a child during marriage, knowing exactly, that there was other opinions by the Sunni scholars? these opinions were ancient, before the modern age; but they cited that Aisha was 17-19 at marriage.
Why the cherry-picking, and not the honest intellectual citing of all opinions?
Not to mention; that all have nothing to do with the Quran..

Um, I really did try to read it but it is just drivel. Pointless shit. Pretty much on a level with the bible.
Frankly; I called for God -if he exists- to help me understand it before reading, and I believe he did.
I just open it randomly and start reading whichever verse I find in my sight. I also rarely read the history said to represent that era; considering that may explain the context of some verses. I trust it with a 50% or even less sometimes.
There is where I found the severe contradictions inside the Sunni/Shiite sects.
