But, from what I've read after getting the shot, it doesn't prevent most strains of the flu, and it's not as potent as scientists had anticipated.
This year is an anomaly.
In truth, this is the first year I've ever decided to get the flu shot. The flu isn't something I typically get though, as far as seasonal sicknesses go. I don't get sick that often, but when I do, it's usually strep throat or something like that. Not viral. I wonder if some people are naturally more susceptible to the flu than others? Where's our resident doctor to answer my questions?
