Right! Most vaccines are inactivated virus or of a recombinant DNA source. There is no way to become infected. It does take two weeks to gain immunity and it is possible to become infected the very day you get the vaccine. It is possible to contract a strain of the virus you were not inoculated with. It is possible the the vaccine did not impart effective immunity to you. No matter, the immunity you gain is as natural as the immunity you gain from suffering the infection. You just don't spread it to others.
