Bear in mind, monogamy might seem like an intuitive choice for sexuality, but in practice (and especially throughout history), it's very much the exception rather than the norm, whether it's the polygamy endemic in Biblical times, or the more common practice of keeping a wife to keep the family going, but still sleeping around for other purposes, whether it's the classic King Charles II example of having a Queen Catherine to keep up appearances and the bloodline and a Nell Gwyn for other purposes the Queen can't fulfill, or just screwing around out of a desire to have a little fun with someone else (case in point: I had a bisexual coworker when I worked at my college's scene shop; to the best of my knowledge, since she wasn't very good at explaining it, it seems she wanted one guy to live with, love, and impregnate her, and when it came to girls? ALL OF THEM. She at one point toyed with being engaged [to be fair, her idea of marriage, even in her early twenties, didn't seem that different from Tom Sawyer's] with the only other girl on the team who swung that way, and she still flirted with other girls and regularly went to titty bars. The only female worker I didn't see her making a pass at worked on different days than she did.)
