Nope, haven't lost me.  I am a farmer and do not  have "regular" work hours.  Sorry.  But, I have read all the post from people and I really do appreciate the responses.  I have taken a few jabs here from some, but thanks for the honesty.   However, family comes first in the evenings if I have had a long day.   I will stay in touch and I definitely will get to those PM questions.

I do myself take offense at the idea that one can walk into a house they do not own and bark orders. It is one thing to request, that is polite. But just like your own house, you would not like it if someone walked in making demands. 

I think a theists best bet being on an atheist website, isn't to assume we think alike or always agree. AND the other benefit is that this website, like many, has an ignore option if if you do not like that individual.

My best advice to you is treat us as individuals, do not assume we all are alike, do not assume we always agree. We do not. 

I can only speak for myself. I am very blunt, but in my bluntness it is about bad logic, not your individual rights.

To me when ANYONE, of any religion claims, "I got it right", I am quite sure they mean it, and think it is good. I am sure most humans believe what they claim. I love my late mother. She died a Catholic, I am a former Catholic, I LOVED HER VERY DEEPLY.

But, anytime she partook in, or talked about her beliefs, as much as I loved her, she might as well been claiming, "The Philadelphia Eagles beat Charlie Brown's Peanuts in the Stanley Cup." I took her to church many times, watched her take communion many times. Never stopped her, but no, sorry, I long since have rejected every religion, not just my former religion.


I DO believe my species is mostly good, but no, I do not find the claims of antiquity valid in explaining why humans do what they do, or how the planet or universe work. I DO value my species POTENTIAL to do good and be good, I simply disagree as to where followers of any and all religions think that is coming from. My position is our ability to do good or bad isn't in old religions, but in our evolution. 

Just warning you about ME, and me alone here. If you talk about what you believe, I will respond and I don't sugar coat it. 

Most humans get sold their religions at birth prior to formulating adult critical thinking skills. I do not give any religion a pass. There is a huge difference between human rights, which everyone has and should have, and the separate ability to demonstrate the credibility of what they claim.

But, regardless of what even others here might think of my personality or word choice, I can safely say that none of us are out to barbecue your kittens, or eat your babies or rape your women. I may be out to destroy your logic, but not your human rights. My bottom line with all believers of ALL religions, is sure, I may think you are full of shit on feeling the need to have a religion, but, if you advocate non violence and common law, I will 100% defend you, not every claim you make no, but 100% your right to exist without fear of harm or arrest.

Point is, do not expect everyone here to behave the same way. Even atheists are all individuals and you'll do better to treat us as such.
