Ala Pole. Here's another one..near and dear to me as a kentucky resident.
Versailles. ver'sai.........or vur'sales?
Hillbillies prefer the latter and look at you like you have a dick growing out of your forehead if you use the former.
(there's also a London and a Frankfort, they pronounce those differently...and obviously spell one of them differently)
