I say he should go for it. Sometimes relationships of a sexual nature can turn into something heavier, but you only live once, so do what fulfills you. The fact that he hasn't yet might mean he really loves his wife, in which case I would not encourage him to betray her. If he is taking so long just to decide, he probably won't feel good about himself afterward, should he choose to do it.
