I just try to be as honest as I can. If someone moves way pass my BS detector and too often I just say my peace and likely ignore them afterwards. If I'm given a decent insult it's likely a good degree of truth within it and can improve myself far greater from knowing my worst downsides than my upsides, either way you can't lose
Or you could go for the ones who act very nice, yet too often they can do very bad things.
