It seems to me that being indifferent to the spiritual needs of strangers is uncaring particularly if you think you have something really important and helpful to share. If two people are traveling and both are thirsty it would be selfish for one not offer the other a swig for water. That's not "fixing" someone or having an ulterior motive. Nor must this impulse come from a feeling of personal superiority. Christians accept their own brokenness and are grateful for the Grace they know they do not deserve.
