I still don't know if you know what my actual beliefs are.

"You just don;t understand!" Maybe, maybe, and maybe you're a poor communicator and you don;t really believe what you've described. That would be a fairly tidy way to end up in such a situation.

Or, maybe..outside theory here..you don;t understand your own beliefs? I offer that possibility, because it would clear up these confused descriptions of it.

People have told me repeatedly they do not understand my communication style.

You didn't address what I was responding to or why it matters. This tells me that you are more looking to "prove me wrong" rather than actually get me to talk about my beliefs. I don't think you actually care what my beliefs are and instead all you care about is justifying your own which is why you look to discredit others.

It does though. If I choose to believe something that may or may not be true and it gives me happiness in this short life, that is a trade I am willing to make.

Still doesn;'t..and I;m still amused by the idea that you could compel yourself to "believe" something you knew to be untrue.

I didn't say I believe something I knew was untrue. Didn't imply it either. Can't even be deduced that I do. I don't actually care that much about the issue of whether there is a God or not, however, if I am going to address what I believe in regards to God, then I am going to say first that I am unsure whether there is a God and next say that if there is a God, it likely is in everything and is all encompassing. Does this really seem like such an incorrect stance to have? If so, why?

I'll take this as sarcasm. Otherwise you would have to make the claim that you have never been wrong before.

Hardly.  I;ve been wrong plenty of times.  Those things are discarded.  It will happen again.  I don;t have the "I;ll never be proven wrong" bit shoring up any idiocy on my part.

Well, if you know you don't only believe what is true and you know you can be wrong, why are you giving me the third degree here? We've already established that you don't actually care about understanding where I am coming from, so your motivation must just be an ego trip.

Not sure why you say this. Your the one who is involved with my beliefs, not the other way around.

If you want to share and discuss, do so..but it's pointless to moan about others commenting on those things you choose to share on an internet discussion board.

I have no problem with discussing my beliefs with people with an open mind. What I have a problem is discussing my beliefs with people who don't really care about what I believe and only care about proving me wrong. I mean you can say "this is a discussion board and some people are going to be assholes so you should know better" but that doesn't really prevent you from being one of those assholes and being on the internet is not a licence to be an asshole, because there actually are people on the other end who are human.
