Boo-hoo. I don't normally listen to 'hip-hop' so forgive me for not knowing the proper distinction between that and a sub genre. It's all basically the same to me.
Yeah, I'd consider it more electronica than hip-hop.
Given all that, here's some of my favourite hip-hop artists:
* Beastie Boys
* NWA
* Geto Boyz
* Eminem
* Lupe Fiasco
* Insane Clown Posse (don't expect me to go out in clown makeup, drink Faygo, or meet me at the next meeting of the Juggalos)
* Rage Against the Machine (It's more of a rock band, but listen to Zach de La Rocha and think anythng but rap)
