Why millennials are drawn to socialism

If capitalism doesn't die in this century it will be a miracle.

Capitalism, through its superior ability to allocate capital efficiently to maximize the total productivity, will give societies that exploit this capability a major advantage, and this is likely remain a dominant economic institution amongst the most influential powers in the world until such times as when that capability is equaled or surpassed by other system.  That time is not visible as of yet even on the furthest hoirizon

I'm not suggesting that we will replace it willingly, I'm saying that the competitiveness of capitalism will generate so much wealth that it will transition to socialism without any help from us. If there are enough resources for everybody from where will the need to compete for resources come? I'm guessing that we will change from working to survive to working for the benefit of our species just because we won't need to compete for resources anymore.
